Shoyuzuke Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026
Who we are
Shoyuzuke MNL is a Manila-based food business selling marinated sashimi. We can be reached at shoyuzukemnl@gmail.com, and that address reaches a person, not an automated queue.
This policy covers the Shoyuzuke storefront at shoyuzuke.com, the Shoyuzuke Members Club at app.shoyuzuke.com, and the ordering and delivery service behind both of them.
What we collect when you order
We ask for the least we need in order to make your food and get it to you. When you place an order we collect:
- your name
- your mobile number
- your delivery address, and a map pin for it when your order is delivered by us
- your email address, which is optional and which you can leave blank
- what you ordered, when you asked for it, and any notes you added
- how you chose to pay, and the payment evidence described below
We do not ask for your date of birth, your government ID, or your card details, and we could not store a card number if you sent one: this business takes no card payments and holds no card processor.
Payment evidence
Shoyuzuke is paid by GCash, bank transfer, Maya or USDT. Every one of those is confirmed by a person, not automatically.
That means we receive and store what you send us as proof of payment: a screenshot or photograph of your transfer, a reference number, or a blockchain transaction hash. A member of staff reads it and decides whether the payment arrived.
Payment evidence is stored as part of the order record. It is not public, it is not linked from any page a customer can reach, and it is visible only to staff accounts that hold the permission to review payments.
Delivery information
If you collect your order yourself, or send your own courier, your address is not shared with anyone.
If we deliver your order, we book a rider through Lalamove. To do that we send Lalamove the recipient name, the mobile number and the delivery address and map pin for that one order. We send nothing else, and we send it only when a rider is actually being booked.
If address autocomplete is switched on at checkout, the address text you type into the delivery field is sent to Google Maps Platform so it can suggest matching addresses. If it is switched off, nothing you type is sent anywhere until you place the order.
Email about your order
If you give us an email address, we may email you about your own order. That is a service message about something you bought, and it is sent whether or not you have opted in to marketing.
There are at most two of them, ever, for any single order:
- one when your payment has been confirmed, which is also your receipt
- one about how your order leaves us: that it is ready to collect, or that a rider has been requested to bring it to you
We do not email you when your order is created, while it is waiting for payment, when your payment evidence arrives, while your order is being prepared, or when it is cancelled or refunded. If you leave the email field blank we simply do not email you, and we message you on your mobile number instead.
These emails never contain payment instructions, an account number, a wallet address or a link that would let somebody open your order without signing in.
Marketing email, and your consent
Marketing email is separate from everything above, it is entirely optional, and declining it changes nothing about your order.
- The marketing checkbox is never pre-ticked, on any screen, for anybody.
- You can opt in at checkout, when you create a Members Club account, or from your Members Club profile.
- You can withdraw at any time, and withdrawing is exactly as easy as agreeing: clear the same checkbox, or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- We never require marketing consent in order to buy from us, create an account, or use the Members Club.
We record each decision you make as a dated record of what you chose, which wording you were shown, and which screen you were on. Withdrawing your consent adds a withdrawal to that history; it does not erase the fact that you had previously agreed, because the two are different facts and we would rather be able to tell them apart.
If you have never made a decision either way, you are not subscribed. Nobody was added to a marketing list because they placed an order.
Who processes your information for us
- Resend is our email provider. When we email you, Resend receives your email address, the contents of that message, and delivery information such as whether it was delivered, bounced or reported as spam. If you opt in to marketing, your email address — and your first and last name, if you have given us one — are stored in a Resend contact list so that a newsletter can be addressed to you. Resend also tells us when you unsubscribe, so that we can record it.
- Lalamove is our delivery partner, and receives the delivery details described above when a rider is booked for your order.
- Supabase provides the sign-in and account system behind the Members Club, and stores your account email address for that purpose.
- Vercel hosts our websites and the ordering service.
- Google Maps Platform suggests addresses at checkout, when address autocomplete is switched on.
Our internal staff alerts carry an order number, an amount and a status only. They contain no customer name, no mobile number, no address and no payment evidence.
We do not sell your information, we do not share it for anybody else's advertising, and we do not build a profile of what you read or click.
Cookies and what your browser stores
The storefront sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
It does store two things in your own browser, on your own device: your shopping basket, and — if you tick the box that offers it — your name and mobile number, so that your next checkout is quicker. Neither is sent anywhere except as part of an order you choose to place, and clearing your browser data removes both. Your email address and your marketing choice are deliberately not saved to your device.
The Members Club sets a sign-in cookie, which is what keeps you signed in. It is used for nothing else.
How long we keep it
Order records — including the order itself, the delivery details and the payment evidence — are kept as business records. Nothing in this system deletes them automatically, and we do not claim a fixed deletion schedule we do not operate.
Marketing consent records are kept for as long as the address is on, or has been on, our list, because a record of what somebody chose is the only thing that can answer whether they chose it.
If you want your information removed, write to shoyuzukemnl@gmail.com and we will tell you plainly what we can delete and what we have to keep in order to account for a sale that already happened.
Your choices
- See what we hold. Ask us at shoyuzukemnl@gmail.com and we will tell you.
- Correct it. Members can edit their own name, mobile number and addresses in the Members Club. For anything else, write to us.
- Stop marketing email. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or clear the marketing checkbox in your Members Club profile.
- Ask us to delete your information. Write to us and we will tell you what can go.
Order-related email is not something you can opt out of separately while continuing to give us an email address for an order, because it is the service you asked for. Leave the email field blank and you will not receive any.
Security
Every Shoyuzuke site and the ordering service are served over HTTPS.
Staff access is by named account with an assigned role, and each role grants only the specific permissions it needs — reviewing payments, fulfilling orders, booking a rider — rather than blanket access. Payment evidence and customer contact details are visible only to roles that hold the relevant permission.
We hold no card numbers and no bank credentials of yours. Sign-in passwords for the Members Club are handled by Supabase and are never visible to us.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Children
Shoyuzuke sells food and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anybody under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, write to shoyuzukemnl@gmail.com and we will remove them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and the change will appear on both shoyuzuke.com and app.shoyuzuke.com at the same time.
